About the Organisation:
A leading UK and Ireland provider of integrated facilities services is seeking a senior business development leader to drive private-sector growth. The organisation delivers Cleaning, Security and Technical Services and is focused on service excellence and long-term partnerships.
The Role:
This role leads business development strategy and execution across the UK private sector, securing new opportunities and developing tailored Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) solutions. You will manage the full sales cycle, build strong client relationships, and lead a team of two Business Development Managers to achieve ambitious growth targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive new business in targeted private-sector industries (e.g., commercial property, manufacturing, logistics, retail, corporate).
- Create and deliver strategic sales plans supporting annual revenue growth targets.
- Manage the full bid process from lead generation to contract award.
- Maintain accurate CRM records.
- Build relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Lead, coach, and develop the business development team.
- Work with internal teams to create client-focused proposals.
- Track market trends, competitors, and emerging customer needs.
Candidate Profile:
- Proven success winning complex IFM contracts in the UK private sector.
- Strong commercial and operational understanding of facilities services.
- Experience leading and motivating high-performing sales teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Strategic, proactive, and results-driven approach.
