Job Summary

We are seeking a part-time Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that high standards of food quality, presentation, and safety are maintained. Minimum of 2 years experience in the same job role.

Weekly pay and great cash tips.

2-4 Working days - 11am -8pm.

Must be available for weekend work.

Duties

  • Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff.
  • Oversee food production and preparation processes to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
  • Contribute to menu planning, recipe development, and seasonal offerings.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared to specification and presented beautifully before serving.
  • Communicate well with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Experience in supervising and managing a team within a kitchen environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead by example.
  • A passion for hospitality and delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Previous experience in food production within a busy kitchen is highly desirable.
