Born from a love of exceptional coffee and handmade bakes, Être's aim has always been to offer more than great drinks and treats - we're creating a space where people feel welcome, connected, and inspired.

We're now looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Manager to join our small team and support the continued success of Être. You'll take over from our existing Manager, who is moving into a different role within the business. You will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the shop, lead and develop the team, and help ensure the customer experience is always second to none.

Key Responsibilities

  • Overall management of the shop's operations - from opening and closing to inventory and quality control
  • Lead and inspire a small team to deliver warm, efficient, and thoughtful service
  • Assist in onboarding and training new staff
  • Maintain our welcoming and community-focused atmosphere alongside the owner
  • Contribute to and help implement marketing ideas, in-store events, and local partnerships
  • Support daily social media activity and storytelling - capturing the spirit of Être online
  • Ensure our product standards and shop presentation are consistently high
  • Pitch in as needed, from steaming milk to stacking pastries, this is a hands-on role

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 1 year's experience in a coffee shop, café or food service role
  • A love for specialty coffee and baked goods and a genuine interest in the people who enjoy them
  • Confident leadership and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a busy, customer-facing environment
  • Ability to train and motivate team members with patience and clarity
  • Comfortable with basic stock management, supplier comms, and social media engagement
  • Right to work in the UK

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience in artisan or specialty coffee shops
  • A flair for photography, reels, or storytelling on Instagram/TikTok
