We are seeking an enthusiastic and aspiring
Risk Analyst
to join the Risk team of a Re-Insurance business. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual keen to pursue a career in risk management, offering direct exposure to the full Risk Management Framework and a chance to help shape the development of risk management activities within the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Risk, you will play a key role in the daily function of the Second Line of Defence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Framework & Systems:
    Maintain business risk registers, control libraries, and support the implementation and maintenance of our risk management software. Act as the primary point of contact for system queries.
  • Reporting & MI:
    Support the production of the quarterly risk report by being responsible for producing the underlying Management Information (MI).
  • Data & Analytics:
    Support the development of our data analytics capability to provide valuable insights for risk management decisions.
  • Operational Risk:
    Support the implementation of the risk events process, ensuring events are appropriately recorded, assessed, and resolved with business owners.
  • Assurance:
    Assist the Risk Manager with implementing the second line assurance framework through conducting thematic reviews and control assurance.
  • Emerging Risks:
    Contribute to the identification, analysis, and reporting of emerging risks.

What We Are Looking For:

We value critical thinkers with strong communication skills who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Essential:
    Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, excellent attention to detail, proactive forward-thinking approach, and demonstrable intellect (academic/professional/on-the-job). Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Desirable:
    Prior use of a risk management system, analytical/data management skills, and an understanding of the regulated financial services landscape and risk management framework/processes.
