The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop an English department that fosters creativity, literacy, and critical thinking. As Head of English, you will lead a team of talented teachers, implement an engaging curriculum, and inspire students to develop a lifelong love for literature and language.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage a high-performing English department.
- Develop and deliver a challenging and engaging curriculum across Key Stages 3-5.
- Support and mentor English teachers, fostering a collaborative and innovative teaching culture.
- Promote literacy and analytical skills through high-quality teaching and learning strategies.
- Organize and oversee extracurricular activities, including literary clubs, debate teams, and creative writing initiatives.
- Ensure strong academic outcomes through rigorous assessment and continuous improvement.
