Are you a passionate Safeguarding Lead looking for an opportunity to provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the highest standards of safeguarding across the organisation

You Will:

The Safeguarding Lead will provide strategic and operational leadership to ensure the highest standards of safeguarding across the organisation. They will oversee the development and implementation of robust policies, procedures, and reporting systems, ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. The role will include managing safeguarding concerns and cases, offering expert advice and guidance to staff and volunteers, and coordinating effective responses in partnership with external agencies. The Safeguarding Lead will also be responsible for monitoring safeguarding practice, delivering training, driving continuous improvement, and promoting a safe, transparent, and prevention-focused culture that protects children, young people, and adults at risk

The Safeguarding Lead will be responsible for overseeing and promoting best practice in safeguarding across the organisation. They will ensure robust policies, procedures, and systems are in place to protect children, young people, and adults at risk. The role will involve providing expert advice, leading on safeguarding case management, supporting staff and volunteers, and ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

You are:

  • A professional with a qualification in social work, nursing, counselling, psychology, youth work, or similar field.
  • Significant experience in safeguarding practice with children, young people, and/or adults at risk.
  • Experienced in developing and delivering safeguarding training committed to inclusive, values-based practice
  • Have in-depth knowledge of relevant safeguarding legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice as well as CQC, Ofsted, or Charity Commission requirements
  • excellent communicator with organisational and teamwork skills.
