Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Fryer to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating frying equipment, ensuring food quality and safety standards are met, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment. This role is crucial in delivering delicious fried products that meet our customers' expectations.

Duties

  • Operate frying equipment safely and efficiently to prepare various food items.
  • Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal food quality.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
  • Conduct regular cleaning of the fryer area, including commercial cleaning of equipment and surfaces.
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality output.
  • Maintain a positive attitude while working in a fast-paced environment.

Skills

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment, particularly with frying equipment, is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of food safety regulations and practices.
  • Commercial cleaning skills, with an emphasis on maintaining hygiene standards in food preparation areas.
  • Janitorial experience is advantageous for ensuring cleanliness throughout the kitchen.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
