Infrastructure Project Manager

6 Month contract initially

Based: Hybrid/London - Max 2 days p/w onsite initially.

Rate: £325 - £360 p/d (via Umbrella company)

A progressive organisation where you can really make a difference. We have a great opportunity for a number of Infrastructure Project Manager's to join the team.

As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing key projects in Infrastructure Technologies to keep IT current. The projects would have Senior Management's focus as demand would be to deliver the projects with tight timelines and budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain end to end Project Plan in MPP/Excel/Customer proposed tool
  • Effectively manage project scope/timeline/cost
  • Coordinate with different stakeholders (Business owners, Tech Architects, Infra/Development Support teams)
  • Manage complete project lifecycle from Project Initiation to Closure, Provide updates to Management/Client through weekly/monthly reports
  • Ensure project milestones/deliverables are met as per the agreed project plan

Ensure required resources are available for project delivery

  • Manage Risks/Issues/Dependencies effectively
  • Follow project change approval process for any changes in scope/timeline/cost
  • Propose opportunities for infrastructure optimisation and cost saving
  • Motivate team to deliver high performance and achieve objectives

Key Skills & Experience

  • Working knowledge of Project Management frameworks PMP/Prince2/Agile
  • Translate technology Infrastructure requirements
  • Be able to run multiple projects maintaining quality and control.
  • Ability to create and track detailed project plan
  • Ability to lead and provide guidance to infrastructure engineers drawing on their project and technical experience.
  • Demonstrate excellent stakeholder management
  • Effective communication skills at all levels

Desirable Skills/knowledge/experience

  • Resource estimation and Financial Planning
  • Knowledge about Infrastructure technologies (Windows, Linux/Unix, Storage & Backup, Database, Network, Cyber Security, Cloud Migration, Data Centre Migration)
  • Project Management Certification PMP/Prince2/Agile
