About the role:
As a Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of complex initiatives within operational technology and critical national infrastructure environments. You will take responsibility for shaping delivery structures, defining scope, coordinating resources and ensuring progress against agreed timelines and governance frameworks. This role is suited to someone who brings structure and confidence to technical programmes, communicates effectively across business and engineering teams and is comfortable delivering in regulated, safety-critical contexts.

As the Project Manager, you will

  • Drive end-to-end project delivery, ensuring scope, requirements, risks and dependencies are clearly defined and managed.
  • Lead planning activities, oversee budgets and resource allocation, maintain delivery schedules and ensure reporting is accurate and aligned to governance expectations.
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders across business, operational and technical teams to ensure alignment and decision clarity.
  • Ensure risks, issues and change controls are identified early, managed effectively and communicated transparently.
  • Establish strong working relationships with SMEs, Solution Architects, BAs and other delivery partners, ensuring that deliverables meet regulatory, cyber security and operational standards.
  • Foster a disciplined and proactive delivery culture, providing regular updates to senior stakeholders and supporting readiness activities for deployment and transition into BAU

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering projects within regulated, technical or complex enterprise environments, ideally within energy, utilities, CNI or operational technology domains.
  • You will have strong planning, governance and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to navigate competing priorities and maintain delivery momentum.
  • Experience managing budgets, schedules, risks and dependencies, and be comfortable working with multidisciplinary teams including architects, analysts, engineers and SMEs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication is essential, along with the ability to provide clear reporting and facilitate effective decision-making.
  • A solid understanding of project delivery frameworks and regulatory considerations is important, and experience working within OT, SCADA or ADMS-related environments is highly desirable.
  • Professional certifications such as APM, PRINCE2 or Agile qualifications are beneficial but not essential
