Job Description
This role requires a dynamic, experienced Project Manager with a strong sense of conscientiousness, the ideal background for this position is someone who has experience of delivering electrical infrastructure projects.
As a Project Manager, you will lead and oversee end-to-end project delivery of electrical infrastructure connections. You will coordinate with clients, subcontractors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that drive sustainable energy solutions.
You will have meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. You will be self-motivated, with a proactive approach to project challenges. You will also have strong client-facing skills with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
Job Requirements
Essential:
- Degree Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, preferably in the electrical infrastructure or construction industry.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects from inception to completion, with commercial awareness.
- Experience with managing multiple stakeholders, including clients, regulatory bodies, and contractors.
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Packages (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to analyse data and recognise trends.
- Good health and safety knowledge and practices
Desirable:
- Familiarity with the ICP framework and regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability of influencing at all levels.
- ERP System knowledge would be an advantage
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the full project lifecycle from initiation to completion.
- Manage and coordinate with clients, subcontractors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Oversee project budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental policies.
- Prepare and present project status reports to key stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes.
- Responsible for achieving and maximising project financial targets in line with Company targets
- Ensuring all relevant Company processes and procedures are followed and monitored to ensure effective implementation.
- Project and Sub-Business cost control measures are in place and costs savings are achieved where necessary.
- Daily/weekly/monthly provision of management information demonstrating the effective control and performance of projects under your control.
- Ownership and accountability for planning manpower efficiently and effectively
- Ensure timesheets are completed by all Operatives in accordance with process.
- Raise purchase requisitions for materials for each project and use ERP in line with procedures.
- Conduct regular health and safety audits on Operatives as per set targets, report all incidents and health and safety matters as required, Liaise with HSEQ Advisor on any requirements.
- Work in conjunction with Compliance Team to ensure standards are achieved
