A leading
global business services group
is seeking an experienced
Head of International Tax
to lead its global tax function. This is a high-profile leadership position with responsibility for shaping the firm's tax strategy, ensuring compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and advising senior leadership on complex international tax matters.

The Opportunity

As part of the senior finance and partner services leadership team, you'll oversee all aspects of international tax - from compliance, reporting and transfer pricing to risk management, policy development and team leadership. You'll work closely with global stakeholders across Finance, HR, and Legal to support the firm's strategic initiatives, including new markets, mobility, remuneration and restructuring projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the global international tax team, ensuring operational excellence and strong succession planning.
  • Maintain and implement the firm's
    global tax strategy
    , ensuring alignment with best practice and compliance standards.
  • Oversee
    worldwide tax compliance
    , including income and corporation tax, VAT/sales tax, payroll, and transfer pricing documentation.
  • Manage relationships with global tax authorities and oversee responses to audits and enquiries.
  • Provide strategic advice on
    international mobility, partner remuneration, new office openings
    , and other cross-border initiatives.
  • Monitor legislative changes (e.g.
    Pillar 2, BEPS
    ) and ensure timely policy and process updates.
  • Drive improvements in tax governance, risk management and operational processes.

About You

  • Proven senior-level international tax experience, ideally within a
    large professional services or partnership environment
    .
  • Strong technical expertise across UK, US, and Australian tax regimes (additional jurisdictions beneficial).
  • Qualified accountant and/or tax adviser (
    ACA / CTA / CPA
    or equivalent).
  • Strategic thinker with commercial awareness and the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with experience managing international teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a complex, fast-moving, global environment.
