Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Trainee Dental Nurse/ Receptionist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming environment for our patients while efficiently managing the administrative tasks associated with a busy dental practice. This position requires strong communication and organisational skills, as well as a passion for patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations to optimise the dentist's time.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date.
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding treatments, procedures, and office policies.
  • Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient flow and care coordination.
  • Maintain a clean and organised reception area, ensuring it is welcoming for patients.
  • Utilise IT systems effectively for scheduling, record keeping, and communication purposes.

As a Trainee Dental Nurse, you will:

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures
  • Prepare and maintain clinical environments, equipment, and instruments
  • Support patient care and ensure high standards of infection control
  • Complete necessary training toward your dental nursing qualification

Experience

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or dental setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Strong communication skills in English are required to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Familiarity with nursing practices or IT systems related to patient management will be advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills are necessary to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of patient care.
