Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
  • Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
  • Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, addressing any concerns or questions
  • Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality and organisation
  • Support infection control protocols by sterilising instruments and maintaining hygiene standards
  • Offer empathetic patient care, calming anxious patients and providing reassurance throughout treatments
  • Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow efficiently within the practice
  • Ensure all clinical equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults promptly

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare setting, preferably as a Dental Nurse or in nursing roles
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment
  • Good IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and managing appointment systems
  • Knowledge of infection control standards and best practices in dental care
  • Relevant nursing qualifications recognised within the UK healthcare system are desirable but not essential for internship positions; training will be provided for suitable candidates
  • Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £12.21 per hour
