We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Trainee Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will support dentists during procedures, provide excellent patient care, and ensure the smooth operation of daily clinic activities. Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
- Prepare treatment rooms with the necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
- Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment instructions, addressing any concerns or questions
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, ensuring confidentiality and organisation
- Support infection control protocols by sterilising instruments and maintaining hygiene standards
- Offer empathetic patient care, calming anxious patients and providing reassurance throughout treatments
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow efficiently within the practice
- Ensure all clinical equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults promptly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare setting, preferably as a Dental Nurse or in nursing roles
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a busy environment
- Good IT literacy for maintaining accurate records and managing appointment systems
- Knowledge of infection control standards and best practices in dental care
- Relevant nursing qualifications recognised within the UK healthcare system are desirable but not essential for internship positions; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Ability to work as part of a team, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £12.21 per hour
