The Associate Market Analyst plays a key entry-level role in supporting strategic business decisions through market research and data analysis. This position involves gathering and interpreting data on market trends, consumer behaviour, competitor activity, and economic conditions to generate actionable insights. These insights help guide product development, marketing strategies, and overall business planning.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gathering quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources, including industry reports, databases, surveys, interviews, and digital analytics tools.
  • Monitoring and capturing information about market trends, competitor products, pricing strategies, and promotional activities.
  • Cleaning and organizing raw data to prepare for analysis using statistical software and tools such as Excel, SPSS, R, Python, or Tableau.
  • Analyzing data sets to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and opportunities within the market.
  • Interpreting findings in the context of the business's objectives and market conditions.
  • Developing data visualizations, charts, and dashboards to effectively communicate analytical results to stakeholders.
  • Preparing clear, concise, and compelling reports that summarize key findings, insights, and recommendations.
  • Creating presentations for both internal teams and external clients, tailored to varied audiences (executives, product managers, marketing teams, etc.).
  • Collaborating with senior analysts to refine reports and ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Presenting findings in meetings, webinars, or workshops as needed.

Key Skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, economics, statistics, marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic statistical analysis; familiarity with advanced analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Python, R) is an asset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting complex data in accessible terms.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical, organized approach to managing information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a passion for understanding market forces and business dynamics.
