Role Overview
The Medical Affairs Associate will play a key role in managing the operational aspects of Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) programs. This includes overseeing contracts, timelines, budgets, and regulatory documentation, while ensuring compliance and inspection-readiness throughout the study lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for affiliates and internal stakeholders on ongoing IIR studies.
- Negotiate and manage contracts and amendments, ensuring compliance and tracking performance.
- Monitor study progress, financials, and milestones using project management tools.
- Maintain regulatory documentation and ensure readiness for audits and inspections.
- Collaborate with investigators and internal teams to support study execution, drug supply, and publication processes.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific or health-related field, or 2+ years of clinical research experience.
- Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in contract negotiation and cross-functional collaboration.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical trial regulations, and research guidelines.
Preferred Experience:
- Medical or clinical background
- Affiliate or finance experience (e.g., PO setup, invoice processing)
- Proficiency in tools like CTMS, Excel, and IIR Portals
