Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring excellent food presentation and adherence to safety standards. Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
  • Assist in food production, ensuring timely delivery of orders during service hours
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing, sanitising, and storing utensils and ingredients
  • Supervise junior kitchen staff and coordinate with front-of-house team to ensure smooth service
  • Monitor food safety practices, including proper storage, handling, and temperature control
  • Manage inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the management team
  • Uphold high standards of hygiene, safety, and quality throughout all kitchen operations
  • Support team management by providing guidance and training to new staff members when required

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant setting
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
  • Supervising experience or leadership qualities are highly desirable
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Previous experience in food production, hospitality, or catering is advantageous
  • A passion for culinary arts with a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
