About Gendo
Gendo is a revolutionary, browser-based AI platform designed to empower architects and designers to generate accurate, high-quality visual representations of their designs in seconds, not days - a huge improvement on existing workflows.
Within just 12 months of launching, we have 50,000 plus architects and designers using Gendo to produce visualizations 100x faster than traditional workflows.
We pride ourselves on being a lean, focussed and efficient team formed of highly talented individuals. This, and our product driven mantra, led to us securing both substantial pre-seed-stage and seed-stage funding from renowned investors within the space, enabling us to expand our team and deliver on our ambitious vision.
What we value
At Gendo, design is our core mission. We believe in the power of tools to elevate creative expression and push the boundaries of architectural possibility.
We don't build in a vacuum. We have refined our technology in direct partnership with renowned firms including Zaha Hadid Architects, Benoy, KPF, and David Chipperfield Architects. We take an exploratory approach to product development, continuously innovating to solve the real-world challenges our users face.
Our ambition is massive. We are building a world-class team to transform the future of architecture, making cutting-edge AI tools accessible so creators can bring their boldest ideas to life with speed and precision.
Role Overview
As our Product Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in defining our product's direction and ensuring that our roadmap is aligned with user needs and strategic goals. This role requires wearing a multiple hats: part product manager, part product/UX designer, and part growth-oriented thinker. You will be responsible for defining key features, creating wireframes when necessary, and leading the process from roadmap through design to development. Working closely with users and product analytics, you will leverage feedback from rapid iteration and testing to prioritise and refine features, translating insights into a coherent, actionable product strategy.
The ideal candidate has experience in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) industry and understands the unique challenges and needs of this sector. However, we're primarily looking for someone with a strong product management background who can thrive in ambiguity and help us to bring order, clarity, and direction to our product.
Key Responsibilities
- Defining product features and maintaining a cohesive product roadmap that aligns with our strategic goals and user needs.
- Guiding the end-to-end product process, from roadmap to wireframe to design, through to development, ensuring smooth communication and coordination across teams.
- Collaborating closely with users, conducting interviews to understand their needs, gather feedback, and make data-driven prioritisation decisions.
- Translating insights from rapid iteration and testing into actionable product plans, balancing long-term vision with short-term iterations.
- Acting as a growth-oriented product thinker, finding creative ways to enhance user engagement and retention.
- Working with our Product Designer to create functional wireframes and initial UX concepts.
- Working alongside engineering and design teams, bridging the gap between vision and execution.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally with experience in the AEC industry or in a SaaS environment with complex, feature-rich products.
- Proven track record of defining and launching successful products, with experience managing the entire product lifecycle.
- Strong understanding of UX principles, with the ability to create wireframes and rough design concepts when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and translate complex ideas into clear, actionable plans.
- Analytical mindset and experience working with user data to inform product decisions.
- Comfortable with ambiguity, able to bring direction and clarity to undefined product spaces.
- Familiarity with agile development processes and tools for product management.
It would be a bonus for you to have:
- Background in UX design, with experience creating wireframes and prototyping.
- Knowledge of or experience in growth hacking, with an understanding of user engagement metrics and tactics.
- Experience or familiarity with CAD or 3D modelling software (e.g. Blender, 3DS Max)
Our Tech Stack
- Typescript
- React ) + (NestJS)
- Python (portion of the ML backend)
- Latent diffusion models
- PostgreSQL
- Docker
- AWS (Lambda, EC2, ECS, S3 and more)
- Terraform (with Terragrunt)
Why join Gendo?
- Be a key player in driving the growth of a groundbreaking AI platform that is reshaping the architecture and design industry.
- Collaborate with leading architects and designers from top firms like Zaha Hadid Architects.
- Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your ideas and initiatives are valued.
- Be part of a creative, innovative team dedicated to pushing the limits of what's possible in Product development.
- Competitive compensation package, including performance-based incentives and equity options.
What we offer
This is a full time position, during which you'll spend 3 days a week in either our London or Bristol office, and 2 days a week working remotely from home (in the UK).
- Stock options; we firmly believe that you should share our future successes with ownership in the company.
- 25 days holiday, plus a day off during your birthday week.
- Private medical, dental and vision insurance.
- Flexible well-being allowance (e.g. gym membership)
- Frequent company socials and events
