At James Wilby Group Ltd, we're a trusted name in transport and logistics solution, known for delivering safe, compliant, and sustainable across the UK. Following a recent Management Buyout (MBO), we've entered an exciting new chapter — one driven by growth, innovation, and a clear vision for the future.
Our business is led by our people and shaped by our customers, built on a foundation of operational excellence, teamwork, and accountability. We're committed to creating a culture that empowers individuals to make an impact, encourages continuous improvement, and keeps our customers at the heart of everything we do.
As part of this next phase, we're launching a dedicated HGV Recruitment Division to strengthen our workforce and enhance the service we deliver to our clients.
The Role
As Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for launching and managing the new HGV recruitment function within the Group. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with logistics and haulage clients, while also attracting, vetting, and onboarding high-quality, compliant HGV drivers to meet business and client needs.
You will support the recruitment of key office and operational roles, ensuring the right people are in place across the organisation. A key part of your role will be to uphold the highest compliance standards throughout the driver and client recruitment process, maintaining a reputation for professionalism and reliability. You will also take the lead in driving the division's growth and revenue performance, establishing a self-sustaining, profitable business area within the Group.
About You
You will have proven experience in transport, logistics, or industrial recruitment, ideally with a strong understanding of HGV compliance and driver legislation. You'll be commercially minded, organised, and confident in managing both strategic objectives and hands-on delivery.
The right person for this role will be a natural relationship-builder with excellent communication skills, capable of working proactively and independently to establish and grow a new business function. Experience using CRM or applicant tracking systems (ATS) would be advantageous.
What We Offer
We offer a competitive salary and performance-based bonus, along with 28 days' holiday (including bank holidays), company pension, and life assurance. You will also have access to our Smart Health package, which provides 24/7 GP and wellbeing support.
Most importantly, this is a genuine opportunity to build, lead, and grow a new recruitment division within a respected, forward-thinking transport group.
Apply Now
If you're ready to take on a rewarding and influential role, helping to shape the future of recruitment within the James Wilby Group, we'd love to hear from you.
