Dental Nurse/Receptionist

We are currently seeking a qualified Dental Nurse with a flexible, proactive and enthusiastic attitude to join our friendly team.

The position is full time (Monday - Friday, 8.30am-5.30pm with an unpaid 1 hour lunch break) or as a job share for 2 part time positions covering 5 days.

This position will be split between working clinically with a dentist/hygienist and reception duties.

Excellent communication skills and an ability to work well in a small team are required.

We pride ourselves on providing friendly high quality care to all patients.

Our practice is fully private and is Denplan Excel Quality Assured and BDA Good Practice approved. We are a digital dental practice with a preventative based programme. Experience in SOE Exact is preferred but not essential.

Knowledge of CQC, HTM 01-05 and GDPR regulations is essential.

Essential requirements/responsibilities:

  • GDC registration
  • Up-to-date CPD
  • Up-to-date immunisations
  • Strong IT skills and an excellent command of English Language (written and spoken)
  • Proof of right to work in the UK
  • Provide high quality chairside assistance to dentists and hygienists
  • Maintain high quality infection control in accordance with HTM-01-05 and CQC standards
  • The ability to accurately maintain patient records on SOE software
  • Prepare and sterilise instruments in accordance with strict cross-infection protocols
  • Assist in the processing of digital xrays
  • Provide high quality care for patients at all times
  • Adhere to strict data protection, safeguarding and GDPR protocols
  • Good time management and punctuality
  • Attention to detail
  • To communicate professionally and efficiently with patients by telephone and email to book appointments/take payments and general front of house duties
