We are seeking a dedicated and personable Dental Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our dental practice. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive and comfortable atmosphere. Your excellent interpersonal skills will be key in ensuring our patients receive the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Answer phone calls, send and respond to emails.
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment book efficiently.
- Handle patient inquiries, both in person and over the phone, with professionalism and courtesy.
- Verify and update patient information and medical histories accurately.
- Process patient payments on the dental management software and chase up bad debt.
- Send out recall emails and text messages.
- Send out appointment reminders by text or telephone calls
- Maintain a tidy, clean and organised practice.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth patient flow and outstanding care.
- Uphold patient confidentiality and data protection standards.
- Book up the dentists diaries.
- Assist with dental office administrative tasks, such as filing and organising documents/patient records and scanning.
- Daily/Monthly cashing up.
- Assist the Practice Principal/Manager in Practice compliance work where necessary.
- Assist the Practice Principal/Manager in handling complaints.
- Undergo CPD training where/when required.
- Ensure the Practice is opened up and closed down for the day.
- Flexible while maintaining the smooth running of the practice as the prime priority.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a reception role is preferred but not essential.
- Experience with any customer management software preferred but not essential
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in computer software, including appointment scheduling systems.
- Ability to remain calm and friendly in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
- A positive and welcoming attitude.
