  • Previous management experience in Recruitment and Onboarding.
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Capacity to ensure the smooth running of our HR Systems (CRMs, databases, ATS, Reach Volunteering Platform)
  • Confident speaking in public, conducting interviews and sharing new ideas
  • Knowledge of GDPR principles
  • Supportive attitude and willing to take ownership & leadership

What will you be doing?

The HR Team Lead will oversee the daily operations of one of 3 HR functions Recruitment, Onboarding, and Learning and development ensuring the efficient and effective execution of the recruitment process, employee onboarding, and learning and development. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, who can manage a team, develop strategies, and enhance employee experience while ensuring compliance with charity policies and legal regulations.

Job Specification

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the HR team, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Assign tasks, set performance goals, and monitor the progress of team members.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to the team to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
  • Collaborate with department heads to understand volunteer needs and align recruitment efforts with charity objectives.
  • Maintain and optimise recruitment tools and platforms to ensure a smooth candidate experience.
  • Oversee volunteers onboarding processes, ensuring new hires are integrated effectively into the charity.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage volunteers relations, addressing issues such as performance and conduct.
  • Oversee the performance management process, including performance reviews, goal setting, and feedback mechanisms.
  • And exploring learning and development opportunities, by creating videos and manuals for our staff
