This role sits at the heart of a product-led technology organisation, ensuring that our systems and platforms not only support current business needs but are also built to scale and evolve with future demands. You'll be the strategic mind behind long-term technology roadmaps, aligning them with enterprise architecture and the wider technology strategy. Whether it's rationalising legacy systems or guiding future investments, your focus will be on creating a technology landscape that's efficient, secure, and ready for growth.

Location:
UK-based hybrid role, typically requiring 1 to 2 days in the office per month, or as needed.

The Day to Day:

  • Develop and maintain a multi-year architectural roadmap for infrastructure technology, aligning with enterprise strategy and identifying opportunities for innovation and simplification.
  • Enforce architecture standards and governance across product-led teams, ensuring best practices in system design, integration, and compliance.
  • Translate business initiatives into clear architectural impacts—supporting budgeting, resource planning, and long-term investment decisions.
  • Monitor emerging technologies and trends, recommending new tools and approaches that offer competitive advantage and align with strategic goals.
  • Support financial forecasting by helping teams plan technology spend and capacity based on architectural changes and system evolution.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams, lead a small architecture team, and foster a culture of excellence, mentorship, and continuous improvement.

What we need from you:

  • Proven experience in enterprise architecture, with a strong track record of delivering complex systems across diverse technologies, including SaaS.
  • Solid understanding of infrastructure and power domains, with hands-on experience designing architecture for infrastructure systems.
  • Familiarity with agile, product-led environments, and the ability to align architecture with evolving product roadmaps in cross-functional teams.
  • A creative and pragmatic problem-solver, comfortable navigating ambiguity and balancing innovation with stability in a fast-paced setting.
  • Passion for emerging technologies and a forward-thinking mindset, with the ability to translate tech trends into practical, competitive solutions.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across multi-unit organisations to drive architectural consistency and strategic alignment.

What's in it for you?
