We're looking for a warm, professional and intuitive Reception Host to join our friendly Front of House team at Dormy House Hotel & Spa — one of Farncombe Estate's award-winning luxury hotels overlooking the beautiful village of Broadway.

Dormy House is all about relaxed indulgence — where guests arrive as visitors and leave as friends. As a Reception Host, you'll be one of the first faces they see, welcoming them with genuine warmth, professionalism, and care. From check-in to check-out (and everything in between), you'll make sure every stay is effortless, memorable, and full of those special Farncombe touches.

What you'll be doing:

  • Welcoming and hosting guests from arrival to departure with warmth and confidence
  • Checking guests in and out efficiently using our hotel systems
  • Anticipating guest needs and delivering thoughtful, personalised service
  • Sharing your knowledge of the Estate, local area, and experiences to enhance every stay
  • Handling calls, emails, and reservations with professionalism and accuracy
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure seamless communication and guest satisfaction
  • Supporting the team with luggage, guest transfers, and evening hosting in the lounge or bar when needed
  • Maintaining an immaculate and welcoming reception and lounge area

What we're looking for:

  • A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A calm and confident manner, even during busy periods
  • A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude
  • Previous front-of-house or reception experience in a hotel environment is an advantage
  • A driver's licence would be beneficial (to help with guest transfers across the Estate)

The details:

  • £12.60 per hour, rising to £12.80 after one year
  • Plus tips, meals on duty, and uniform provided
  • 40 hours per week across 5 days (including weekends)
