Band 2 - £12.51 per hour (day rate) & £17.64 per hour (night rate)

Priority given to applicants that can work both days or nights as required.

**10 hour shifts – essential to be capable or working long shifts on your feet.**

We have 3 x ongoing placements for Porters at Trafford General Hospital.

Duties include:

· To provide a porter and messenger service, including the transfer of patients and visitors between wards and departments including admissions to wards.

· To collect and deliver a range of goods including, drugs, bloods, furniture, feed bottles, case notes, specimens, x-rays, and medical gas cylinders.

· To transfer beds, cots, mattresses, furniture, drip stands, pump and other portable equipment and machinery.

· To ensure safety of staff and visitors

· To assist in adhering to the correct procedure regarding the removal of deceased persons

· To maintain confidentiality.

The skills required are:

· No experience necessary as full training will be given.

· Happy to be in a fast-paced physical role.

· Possess a friendly and helpful nature.

· Have excellent communication & organisation skills.

· Trained in Manual Handling would be a distinct advantage.
