Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Kitchen Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen, ensuring a smooth operation and high standards of hygiene. Duties

  • Washing, peeling, and preparing ingredients as required for cooking and service
  • Cleaning dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and work surfaces to maintain hygiene standards
  • Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
  • Supporting the kitchen team during busy periods to ensure timely service
  • Organising storage areas to ensure ingredients and supplies are properly stored and easily accessible
  • Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures in line with health and safety regulations
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of floors, walls, and general kitchen environment at all times
  • Supporting other staff members with serving or organisational tasks when needed

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or hospitality is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Experience working in restaurants, hotels, or catering environments is a plus
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety and hygiene standards is desirable
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards cleanliness and safety
  • Willingness to learn new skills related to culinary operations and hospitality services
