Job Title: Office Administrator

Location: The Spectacle Factory Opticians, Bamber Bridge, Preston

Job Type: Full-Time 5 Days a Week (Monday - Saturday, 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About Us:

We are a well-established, family-run optician's practice dedicated to providing exceptional care and service to our patients. We are looking for a motivated Office Administrator to join our friendly and professional team. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited too:

  • Answering incoming phone calls, assisting with general queries, and directing calls to the appropriate team member
  • Responding to emails and addressing customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner
  • Greeting patients as they arrive at the practice, ensuring they feel welcomed and comfortable
  • Making tea refreshments for visitors.
  • Supporting office operations by assisting with filing, scheduling, and other administrative tasks
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming front office space
  • Ensuring patient records are accurately updated and filed
  • Assisting with stock management and inventory control, including ordering supplies and ensuring stock levels are maintained
  • Providing general administrative support to the team as needed

Key Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills with a customer-oriented attitude
  • Ability to multitask and handle various duties efficiently
  • Friendly and professional demeanor, with a passion for providing excellent service
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Prior experience in a customer-facing or administrative role, ideally within a healthcare or medical setting (opticians experience is a plus but not required)
  • A willingness to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive work environment
