About the Role:

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie to join our friendly and ambitious kitchen team. This is a great opportunity for a chef who wants to work daytime-only shifts in a supportive, forward-thinking environment with a strong focus on fresh ingredients and locally sourced produce.

You'll work under an experienced Head and Senior chef to help prepare and serve our highly popular menu to a consistently high standard. Our restaurant, located in the centre of a newly developed garden centre, seats up to 150 guests inside with an additional 50-seat patio area.

Hours & Schedule:

This is a part-time permanent role (29.5 hours per week) with a regular daytime schedule and no evening shifts.

Your rota:

  • Monday: Off
  • Tuesday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • Wednesday: Off
  • Thursday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
  • Saturday: 8:00am – 4:00pm (Alternate weekends)
  • Sunday: 8:30am – 4:00pm (Alternate weekends)

Additional hours may be available during busier periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on the hot section during service
  • Support the cold section when needed
  • Prepare hot side dishes and assist with daily prep
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
  • Follow correct labelling, storage, and stock rotation procedures
  • Contribute to general kitchen cleaning duties

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a busy kitchen environment
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum)
  • Passion for cooking fresh, quality food
  • Confident, proactive, and able to lead sections during service
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
  • Flexible and willing to adapt in a fast-paced kitchen
