Kitchen Assistant

We are looking for the right person to join our team, someone with creativity and flare, that is reliable, capable of working alone and as part of a team, with passion, energy and enthusiasm.

During service times, it is important that you are quick on your feet in order to manage and organise your time to ensure food is served as quickly as possible to a high standard.

  • Helping manage food stock levels and re-ordering, preparation and minimising waste.

  • Helping to keep the kitchen safe, clean and orderly.

  • Maintaining food hygiene standards and completing the associated paperwork.

  • Breakfast and lunch is prepared fresh to order. There is also an option of evening service of tapas on Friday and Saturday evenings during the main season.

-General help to the back of house including cleaning, pot washing and general help where needed in the team.

We have built Periwinkle on service and food quality and presentation, but no amount of good food, drink and coffee ever tastes good without the service that goes with it. Therefore, all staff must be friendly, pleasant and professional at all times.

Benefits: Tips, Good rates of pay from £ £13.50+ dependent on role and experience, plus 12.07% per hour holiday fund to be paid on top of monthly pay and pension scheme.

As soon as possible

Schedule:

Part time or full time roles available, some evenings and overtime if required.

We generally open 9.30am - 5:00pm 6/7 days per week and serve food until 8.30pm 2 days per week in the main season and peak times.

You would be expected to work weekends and bank holidays.

Location:

Periwinkle is situated in a prime position in the beautiful village of Saundersfoot in Pembrokeshire. The village is a lovely place to work which receives 1000's of visitors every year and is popular all year round.
