Are you a highly strategic and empathetic Senior Change Manager with a proven ability to design, implement, and lead change management strategies across an entire institution?
We are working exclusively with a globally recognised, values-driven institution in the Higher Education/Public Sector to source a Change Manager to join their Strategic Projects team. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring institutional readiness and acceptance of a major transformation program aligned with their long-term strategy.
This is a Fixed-Term Contract (FTC) through 2027, offering stability and high exposure to executive leadership.
Your Core Responsibilities:
This role requires a proactive and autonomous leader to design and deliver the cultural and adoption roadmap for a major strategic program.
- Change Strategy Design:
Immediately developing a comprehensive change management plan and strategy, ensuring it integrates with the overall program timeline and objectives. - Impact and Readiness Assessment:
Conducting in-depth stakeholder analysis and impact assessments to understand cultural readiness, identify resistance, and secure champions. - Adoption and Engagement:
Leading senior-level engagement and facilitation (workshops, feedback sessions) in close partnership with HR and Communications teams. - Metric Reporting:
Defining, tracking, and reporting on adoption metrics and staff engagement levels to demonstrate the success and acceptance of the program. - Strategic Advisory:
Acting as the expert advisor on change management to the executive leadership team, operating with high influence and strategic input.
What We're Looking For:
We require a seasoned change leader who understands the specific constraints and cultural nuances of the public sector.
- Sector Background:
Experience in the Higher Education, Non-Profit/Charity, or Local Government sector is desirable. - Change Focus:
Demonstrated success in leading large-scale business transformation initiatives (i.e., streamlining structures and processes).
This is not focused on IT or physical building change. - Professional Qualification:
Change Management certification (e.g., APMG) is Highly Desirable. - Working Style:
You are a strategic self-starter with exceptional analytical skills, resilience, and the ability to influence senior stakeholders in a complex, values-driven environment. - Communication:
Exceptional listening and communication skills are essential to manage stakeholders.
