Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with emotional and behavioural needs, fostering a positive and encouraging learning atmosphere.
- Work alongside teachers to implement behaviour management strategies, ensuring a calm and structured classroom environment.
- Assist students in developing coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and positive social interactions.
- Encourage student participation in lessons and support their academic and personal development.
- Help adapt learning materials and approaches to meet the individual needs of students.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students, acting as a key point of support and guidance.
- Monitor and report on student progress, contributing to tailored Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties is highly desirable.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and behaviour management skills, with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Attributes: Empathy, patience, and resilience, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with strategies and interventions for managing challenging behaviour and promoting emotional well-being is an advantage.
