Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in need, assisting with daily living activities and ensuring their well-being. This role is crucial in promoting independence and enhancing the quality of life for those we serve, whether in a home care setting or within a residential facility.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Administer medication as prescribed, ensuring adherence to health guidelines.
  • Support clients with mobility and transportation needs, including driving them to appointments or social activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
  • Implement first aid procedures as necessary and respond effectively to emergencies.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote their physical and mental well-being.

Experience

  • Previous experience in senior care or home care is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with meal preparation and dietary needs is beneficial.
  • Experience in medication administration and knowledge of first aid practices are advantageous.
  • A background in childcare or nursing can be an asset for this role.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for providing care are essential for success as a Support Worker.
