Project Assurance Analyst

Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK sites, which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading or Havant.

Salary: £35,200 - £52,800 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible Working options available.

The role

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Project Assurance Analyst to join the SSEN Distribution Large Capital Delivery (LCD) team. The LCD team is responsible for managing and delivering a diverse portfolio of major capital projects and programmes across the electricity distribution network within the SEPD and SHEPD licence areas. These projects range in value from £2.5 million to £100 million, playing a critical role in the development and enhancement of the network infrastructure.

You will

• Undertake assessments across project delivery to ensure compliance with internal standards.
• Ensure design, consenting and build works are defect free throughout the project lifecycle through regular checkpoints and reviews.
• Review and validate activity at regular intervals to ensure that suppliers' activities are consistent and meet required specifications.
• Provide written reports with recommendations based on assurance activity findings and develop portfolio / programme / project-level reports with appropriate analysis providing updates on the performance of the work.
• Oversee and support project related compliance and reporting activities to ensure that LCD has effective policies, processes and practices in place to meet its obligations.

You have

• A solid understanding of quality improvement frameworks and project assurance requirements.
• A strong sense of areas of assurance to investigate and plan appropriate tasks based on your experience.
• The ability to form effective working relationships across teams and stakeholders; and work independently and as part of a team in a collaborative manner.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of quality and auditing procedures within similar sized organisations.
