Job Summary:

Child First Ltd, is a privately owned company providing individual support to young people with emotional and behavioural needs in a residential setting, is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assisting with the day-to-day operations of our residential home, ensuring the well-being and development of children in our care.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the day-to-day running of the residential home
  • Provide care in accordance with Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and professionals
  • Write detailed reports on children's progress and well-being
  • Implement a child-centred approach that prioritizes equality, rights, inclusion, and listening to children's wishes and feelings
  • Offer nurturing parental support to the children in our care
  • Advocate for each child's needs and best interests

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience 2 years minimum in a childcare setting.

  • Must have a Level 3 Diploma in Residential Care

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
  • Familiarity with legislative and regularity requirements relating to children's homes
  • Proficiency in IT for report writing and documentation purposes
