About the role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to provide daily support to the Finance Manager and finance team. This is a hands-on, assisting role focused on helping with routine finance tasks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The role is ideal for someone looking to start or develop their career in finance and who enjoys working as part of a team.

Working closely with the Finance Director, the Finance Manager will lead the execution of core finance activities including monthly reporting, cash flow tracking, reconciliations, and budgeting support. This role also includes the management of our outsourced finance operations team based in Pakistan, ensuring they are aligned and delivering to expected service levels.

Specialist Skill Sets and Responsibilities

  • Support the Finance Manager with daily finance administration and data entry.
  • Support with processing invoices, receipts with the external stakeholders (hosts and guests) through the property management portal.
  • Help maintain and organise digital and paper financial records.
  • Prepare reports or summaries as requested by the Finance Manager.
  • Liaise with the outsourced finance team for routine queries and follow-ups.
  • Respond to internal finance-related queries and direct them to the appropriate team member.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding financial monthly queries (invoices, statements, etc).
  • Support and suggest the implementation of new procedures and tools as directed by the Finance Manager.
  • Support the team with ad hoc finance tasks and projects as needed.

Systems and Tools

  • Use finance systems and tools (e.g., Xero, Excel, CRM) to process transactions and generate reports.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all finance platforms.

What we are looking for

Specifically;

  • part-qualified AAT, currently studying towards an accounting qualification.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Relevant experience in a finance, accounting, or office administrative role.
  • Experience with Xero, NetSuite, or similar cloud-based accounting systems.
  • Organised with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Good communicator, comfortable working with remote teams and stakeholders.
  • Able to work well with others and support the team.
  • Willing to develop new skills and take on more responsibility over time.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and open to working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
