About the Role

You'll manage and develop a team of 6 planners while working closely with production, supply chain, inbound, outbound, and ingredients teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong planning expertise who is ready to go up a level and make a real impact.

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading a team of 6 planners, ensuring effective daily and future production planning.
  • Managing bake schedules across production lines (ambient and frozen).
  • Building and controlling achievable production plans agreed with senior management.
  • Ensuring service levels, stock availability, and plan attainment.
  • Capacity modelling - balancing short-term priorities with long-term growth.
  • Collaborating across production, logistics, and supply chain to keep everything aligned.
  • Using SAP/ERP and Excel for forecasting, analysis, and line capability planning.
  • Investigating issues and driving improvements in planning and logistics.

About You

Are you an experienced planner ready to step up and lead? We're looking for a Planning Manager to join our Gunstones bakery team and take ownership of production planning, stock build, and capacity modelling - ensuring our customers always get the best service.

Key Skills

  • Experience in a planning or factory scheduling role (food or bakery experience is a bonus).
  • Strong Reporting expereince using Excel and data analysis skills, with SAP/ERP experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of capacity planning, forecasting, and production line capability.
  • An understanding of ingredients, logistics, and supply chain operations.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong leadership skills
  • Someone ambitious, ready to step up and take ownership of planning.
