PLANNER ROLES
At P&DG, we're a multidisciplinary team of Planners, Urban Designers, and Heritage Consultants working across the UK. Our projects span a range of scales and sectors, planning applications, master planning, regeneration, planning appeals, EIA, public engagement, site promotion and education; all with a shared focus on delivering positive and creative planning outcomes.
With a long-standing reputation and a diverse portfolio of public and private clients, sectors, geographic reach, and extensive existing workload we're now looking to expand our Planning capabilities. To support this growth, we're seeking talented Senior/Principal Planners and an Associate-level Planner to join our team and help shape the next chapter of P&DG's success.
Beyond project delivery, you'll play an active role in shaping the business, developing client relationships, identifying opportunities, and contributing to the ongoing growth of the practice.

To act as a brand ambassador responsible for developing new client relationships and provide a more experienced lead on complex planning proposals, contributing towards business development and wider company objectives. For example, this includes independent preparation, submission and management of planning applications and appeals, lending support to the wider team and the mentoring and development of junior members.
Preparation, submission and management of planning applications and appeals, including preparing reports and plans relating to a variety of projects
Site promotion
Delivering a high quality of work
Working with other professionals, such as architects, landscape architects, civil engineers, construction managers and surveyors
Liaising with the public and councillors, attending public meetings about planning issues
Supporting team members with advice, sharing workloads and working on same projects
Providing ad-hoc advice to clients
Negotiate with planners and other professionals to secure best outcomes
Good report writing skills
Ability to analyse complex data
Principal Planner – 5 – 7 years' minimum professional experience working for a private consultancy or equivalent
Hold a valid UK Driving Licence
Urban Design and masterplanning understanding would be beneficial
