Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in restaurant operations, demonstrate outstanding leadership skills, and have a passion for food and hospitality. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
  • Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
  • Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and quality of dishes served.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety practices, and customer service standards.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain optimal stock levels without excess waste.
  • Implement cost control measures to maximise profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar leadership role within a restaurant environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising and managing kitchen teams effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen hygiene.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering outstanding dining experiences for guests.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
