Job Title: Compliance Officer (Centre Monitoring)
Salary: £26,600 - £32,600
Location: Cambridge, Hybrid (at least 2 days per week in the office)
Contract: Fixed term (6 months), Full-time (35 hours per week)
We are seeking a
Compliance Officer
to join our motivated and dedicated Compliance Centre Monitoring team. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of our mission to safeguard the security and integrity of Cambridge International exams and assessments.
We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.
About The Role
Reporting to the Compliance Manager, Centre Monitoring, you will be responsible for reviewing information and intelligence about our registered centres (schools) and using this data to carry out proactive and reactive quality assurance activities. You will gather, review, and record information and evidence to identify patterns of behaviour and risks that could affect the integrity of our exams. Using these insights, you will develop solutions that help centres improve and maintain the security and integrity of Cambridge International exams and assessments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analysing data to identify trends; producing recommendations for centre improvement or potential centre closures.
- Managing the collection of information and evidence from a variety of internal and external stakeholders; identifying which information is most important to obtain, and making sure it is collated quickly and efficiently.
- Evaluating facts and evidence; making informed decisions on the additional support needed at our centres, identifying additional risks and escalating these to your manager.
- Decision making; from issuing warnings and requesting detailed action plans to recommending more serious corrective action, you will be responsible for making and communicating fair decisions.
- Providing guidance and support; we support our centres to administer exams correctly in line with our regulations.
- Reviewing processes, procedures and external guidelines; ensuring we are always following best practice.
- Supporting the wider Compliance Group as required.
About You
The Compliance team's greatest asset is its people. To succeed in this role, you will be a confident individual who can work independently and communicate clearly with a wide range of stakeholders. You will also be a collaborative and conscientious team player, with a keen eye for detail and strong analytical and decision-making skills.
You will also:
- Have excellent communication skills providing information to a variety of stakeholders around the world with diplomacy, precision and sensitivity.
- Deliver superb customer service in all aspects of your work.
- Be a quick learner who is not afraid to ask questions.
- Be flexible and able to reprioritise according to changing situations.
- Be skilled at identifying mitigating risk.
- Be able to manage a varying workload and to successfully meet multiple tight deadlines.
- Be a positive person that lifts those around you.
The Compliance team is passionate about safeguarding the integrity of our assessments and exams. We strive to provide excellent support to exam officers, teachers, and candidates, enabling them to confidently access our exams and apply the regulations outlined in the Cambridge Handbook. If you share this mission, we want to hear from you
