Our client is an award winning business Travel Management Company (TMC) and is undergoing an amazing period of growth. Further ambitious growth plans are in place and they are looking for a Head of People to join them in this exciting journey.
You will design and lead the people strategy; shaping how the Company will attract, develop, and engage exceptional talent as they scale. This is a new and pivotal leadership role, responsible for building the People function from the ground up. You'll define and deliver a holistic people plan that champions culture, compliance, and capability; ensuring it is not only a great place to work but a benchmark for modern, human-centred leadership in the UK travel sector.
You will partner closely with the CEO and Executive Team to advise on organisational design, leadership development, talent acquisition, and reward frameworks, while ensuring all HR practices comply with UK employment law and global standards.
This role blends strategy and execution: from implementing new HR systems and processes to shaping a culture of belonging, recognition, and growth.
Candidate profile:
- Strategic HR leadership experience, ideally in a scaling SME or fast-growing service organisation.
- Expert knowledge of UK employment law and best-practice HR compliance.
- Proven ability to design and deliver people strategies that enhance performance and engagement.
- Strong operational HR background; confidently managing policies, ER cases and day-to-day execution.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to influence at Board level and build trust across the organisation.
- Creative, forward-thinking, and commercially minded; understands how people strategy drives business outcomes.
- Experienced in implementing HR technology and people analytics.
- Passionate about culture, diversity, and making work a place people want to be.
Education / Qualifications:
- Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
- CIPD qualified (Level 7 desirable).
- Ongoing professional development in leadership, coaching or organisational design advantageous.
Experience:
- Proven experience leading the People function within a growing organisation
- Track record of designing and implementing people policies, systems, and engagement programmes.
- Experience managing recruitment, performance, and reward processes end-to-end.
- Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders to shape culture and change.
- Strong understanding of data-driven HR, compliance, and governance.
This is a fabulous opportunity to take full ownership of the People function, within a thriving and growing business.
The role is office based (West London) - essential in building a people first culture.
Excellent salary and benefits package to reflect the seniority and influence of the role.
