Hawkwood is delighted to be partnering with an exciting, VC-backed scale-up to hire their first People Operations Partner, joining their Head of People at a pivotal moment in their journey.
Our client is an ambitious technology platform with strong product–market fit, connecting thousands of customers and partners every month. As they embark on an exciting new chapter, they're now investing further into their People function to ensure the employee experience reflects their ambitions, and to build the foundations needed to scale sustainably.
They're looking for a hands-on, systems-savvy People Operations Partner to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract and play a key role in shaping how the People function operates.
The role:
This is a brilliant role for someone who loves to build. You'll take ownership of People operations end-to-end: designing, documenting and delivering processes that are simple, human and scalable.
From optimising the employee lifecycle and embedding systems, to driving automation and crafting an exceptional People experience, this role gives you scope to make a visible impact every day.
You'll partner closely with the Head of People to bring structure, pace, and clarity to a fast-moving environment, while keeping people firmly at the heart of every decision.
What you'll be doing:
Building and optimising People infrastructure, from onboarding and offboarding to performance and engagement.
Designing scalable workflows, policies and templates that balance compliance with simplicity.
Acting as the HiBob expert, maintaining data accuracy, building automations and improving how systems connect.
Partnering with the Head of People to develop dashboards and insights that drive informed decision-making.
Streamlining payroll, benefits and People processes for greater efficiency and impact.
Collaborating across Finance, IT and Talent to deliver a consistent, people-first employee experience.
Championing culture and communication, ensuring People initiatives feel engaging, transparent and values-driven.
What we're looking for:
Strong experience in People Operations within a fast-growing or transforming business.
Proven ability to build or optimise People processes and systems from scratch.
Advanced
HiBob

Analytical and detail-oriented, always looking for smarter, simpler ways to work.
Excellent communicator who brings clarity, warmth and credibility to every conversation.
A true "builder" who is proactive, hands-on and energised by improving.
We recognise how challenging this current job market is for candidates, and Hawkwood are therefore striving to provide the best candidate experience we can.
If you are interested in this opportunity, we kindly request that you apply via this LinkedIn advert, as opposed to sending us an email or LinkedIn direct message.
