The Opportunity

We're looking for a strategic and commercially minded Head of Heavy Refurbishment to lead and develop a specialist team within the Mortgages, BTL, and Bridging division. You'll play a key role in expanding the bank's offering in the
heavy refurbishment and complex bridging
space, building strong broker relationships, and ensuring robust portfolio management and lending standards.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the growth of the heavy refurbishment proposition within the non-regulated bridging market
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and customer focus
  • Work with senior management to deliver sales targets, profitability goals, and risk controls
  • Support the structuring and approval of new business opportunities, ensuring sound underwriting and pricing
  • Oversee portfolio performance and ensure effective risk management
  • Drive innovation in processes and digital capability to enhance operational efficiency

About You

  • Strong track record in
    non-regulated bridging
    and
    heavy refurbishment lending
  • Deep
    credit, technical, and legal knowledge
    of property refurbishment and development finance
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to lead, coach, and inspire teams
  • Commercial acumen and a proactive, solution-focused approach
