Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Care Home Assistant. This role involves providing high-quality care and support to residents in a care home setting. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a commitment to delivering exceptional service, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A driving licence is preferred, as some duties may require transport.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual resident needs, ensuring their comfort and wellbeing.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress, adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care.
- Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge in home care practices.
- Support the overall cleanliness and organisation of the care home environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a care home or similar environment is essential.
- Familiarity with care plans and home care procedures will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in English is required for effective communication with residents and staff.
- Basic IT skills are necessary for maintaining records and documentation.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to empathise with residents and their families are crucial for success in this role.
