We're supporting a leading UK-based law firm specialising in commercial and insurance law to appoint a
Solicitor (Professional Indemnity)
to join their growing team in either
Manchester or Leeds
.

The firm acts for major insurers, businesses, and professional bodies across a range of sectors, and is recognised for its pragmatic, commercial approach to complex and high-value disputes. The team sits within a wider Civil Litigation department, which includes multiple partners and experienced associates, and is ranked among the UK's leading practices in this area.

The Opportunity

You'll work as part of a highly respected Professional Liability team handling a broad range of claims for insured professionals, businesses, and their insurers. The caseload spans professional indemnity, property damage, and management liability matters, with exposure to multi-million-pound disputes and complex coverage issues.

Typical clients include:

  • Construction professionals and specialist contractors
  • Accountants and finance professionals
  • Technology and digital service providers
  • Care practitioners and social welfare organisations

You'll manage your own caseload with partner supervision, contribute to team growth, and have the opportunity to get involved in subrogated recovery work as well as advising on policy coverage.

About You

We're keen to hear from solicitors with:

  • 1–5 years' PQE in insurance litigation, professional indemnity, or related defendant work
  • Strong understanding of insurance policy coverage and commercial claims
  • Excellent client care, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage cases independently and contribute to a collaborative team culture

Experience from a leading insurance, professional indemnity, or defendant practice would be highly advantageous.
