London, Greater London, United Kingdom PhysicsX Full time £60,000 - £80,000 per year
About us
PhysicsX is a deep-tech company with roots in numerical physics and Formula One, dedicated to accelerating hardware innovation at the speed of software.
We are building an AI-driven simulation software stack for engineering and manufacturing across advanced industries. By enabling high-fidelity, multi-physics simulation through AI inference across the entire engineering lifecycle, PhysicsX unlocks new levels of optimization and automation in design, manufacturing, and operations — empowering engineers to push the boundaries of possibility. Our customers include leading innovators in Aerospace & Defense, Materials, Energy, Semiconductors, and Automotive. Legal Operations Specialist
About the Role

We're building a high-performing Legal team to match our rapid growth — and we're looking for a Legal Operations Specialist to join us on that journey.

This is a brand-new role, ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, loves to bring structure to complexity, and wants to make a real impact. You'll support our General Counsel and Legal team across a wide range of operational and administrative responsibilities — helping the function run smoothly while contributing to projects that shape how Legal supports the business.

Because this is a new position, you'll have the unique opportunity to help shape the Legal Operations function from the ground up: refining processes, improving tools, and helping to establish how Legal interacts with teams across the company.

What You'll Do
  • Report directly to the General Counsel and support the wider Legal team with day-to-day administrative, operational, and project work.
  • Manage the flow of contracts (including customer, vendor, and inbound license agreements) through review, approval, and execution — maintaining accurate tracking and documentation throughout the process.
  • Draft, format, and organise legal documents and templates to ensure version control and consistency.
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the business to ensure smooth coordination of legal processes.
  • Maintain and improve our contract management and filing systems (both digital and physical).
  • Help onboard new vendors and customers by supporting due diligence and compliance processes.
  • Track key legal metrics and support internal reporting and forecasting to Leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with other operational teams to ensure Legal remains an enabler for business growth.
About You
  • You have demonstratable of experience in a legal, administrative, or operational role, ideally within a fast-paced or high-growth environment. Prior experience operating in an early stage and/or technology environment is highly valued.
  • You're organised, proactive, and unflappable, able to juggle multiple tasks with accuracy and possess a high attention to detail.
  • You're curious, have a "no task too small" mindset, and take pride in getting things done efficiently and well.
  • You enjoy improving systems and finding smarter ways to work; process-minded, but flexible.
  • You're comfortable with legal documents and confident managing confidential information.
  • You communicate clearly, collaborate easily, and build strong relationships across teams.
  • You're tech-savvy and comfortable learning (and implementing) new tools. Prior experience with CLMs (e.g., Ironclad) or document management systems is a big plus.

We value diversity and are committed to equal employment opportunity regardless of sex, race, religion, ethnicity, nationality, disability, age, sexual orientation or gender identity. We strongly encourage individuals from groups traditionally underrepresented in tech to apply. To help make a change, we sponsor bright women from disadvantaged backgrounds through their university degrees in science and mathematics.

We collect diversity and inclusion data solely for the purpose of monitoring the effectiveness of our equal opportunities policies and ensuring compliance with UK employment and equality legislation. This information is confidential, used only in aggregate form, and will not influence the outcome of your application.
