About the role

The Pre-Sales Consultant plays a vital role in helping customers understand the real-world impact of our software product and service portfolio, empowering organisations to improve safety, compliance, and efficiency across the built environment.

Through insightful demos, solution design, and trusted consultation, this role demonstrates how our technology supports smarter maintenance strategies—helping more customers make buildings better using our standard, software, and expertise.

This role is a remote role, however travel will be required to meet with clients across the UK as and when needed.

Responsibilities

Solution Design and Discovery

  • Lead discovery workshops with prospective clients to understand workflows, technical environments, and business objectives.
  • Translate customer requirements into tailored solution designs, proposals, and demo narratives.
  • Creation of technical interdependencies and operational process flows to align SFG20 products with client systems and FM ecosystems.

Demo Strategy and Execution

  • Design and deliver compelling, industry-relevant demonstrations of the Facilities-IQ and wider SFG20 product and services suite.
  • Adapt presentations and messaging to resonate with various audiences—from operational teams to C-suite executives.
  • Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to maintain demo environments, scripts, and data that reflect real-world use cases across different verticals.

Sales Enablement

  • Partner with Sales to qualify opportunities and shape winning deal strategies.
  • Support bids, proposals, and RFPs, particularly for complex and public sector clients.
  • Deliver internal training to Sales on new features, competitive positioning, and product capabilities.
  • Contribute to the creation of engaging marketing and sales collateral that clearly communicates the SFG20 value proposition.

Proof of Concept (PoC) Management

  • Explore the potential for developing proof-of-concept (POC) approaches related to SFG20, helping assess whether and how such initiatives could be valuable and feasible within our current context.

Product and Market Insight

  • Act as a subject matter expert on SFG20 products, understanding their operation within client environments.
  • Gather structured customer feedback to inform product development and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current with industry developments, including adjacent FM technologies such as CMMS, CAFM, and IWMS systems.

Technical Communication

  • Confidently articulate technical aspects of SFG20 solutions, including data integrations, configuration, and compliance capabilities.
  • Simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences during demonstrations and discussions.
  • Support objection handling and technical workshops with prospects.

Process Building and Internal Collaboration

  • Support user acceptance testing alongside Product and Development teams to ensure a high-quality client experience.
Essential Experience
  • Extensive experience in a Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering, or Solution Consulting role within a B2B SaaS company.
  • Proven ability to present complex software in a simple, compelling way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Track record of success supporting a mix of private (SME to enterprise) and public sector organisations.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and consultative selling skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative, proactive attitude.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-growing environment.
Desirable Experience
  • Familiarity with CAFM, CMMS, or compliance-driven SaaS platforms.
  • Understanding of public sector procurement processes and frameworks (e.g. G-Cloud).
  • Demonstrated experience supporting sales cycles in the Facilities Management, Property, or compliance-related industries.
