About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Bookkeeper/Administrator to join our team. This flexible role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, keeping things organised, and supporting a busy office with day-to-day admin tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage nominal ledger, sales ledger, and purchase ledger
- Carry out bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Handle debtor control and ensure timely payment collections
- Prepare and update cash flow forecasts
- Maintain and organise contracts, O&M manuals, and filing systems
- Manage email inboxes and handle incoming/outgoing post
- Support general office administration, including supplies and documentation
- Answer phones and provide professional telephone support
- Assist with other finance or admin tasks as needed
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience in bookkeeping and administration
- Strong understanding of financial ledgers and basic accounting principles
- Excellent numerical skills, tidiness, and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional telephone manner
- Flexible, proactive, and organised approach to work
