We're part of East Street Pub Company: a family-run, independent hospitality group that puts great food, great drinks and genuine hospitality at the heart of everything we do. Our teams are warm, supportive and hands-on, and every venue has its own personality.
We're now looking for a
General Manager
to lead Twelve Twenty into its next chapter.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, guest-facing leadership role where atmosphere, energy and attention to detail matter. You'll oversee the day-to-day running of the venue, guiding a confident front-of-house and bar team and ensuring every service feels smooth, welcoming and full of personality.
Alongside the main bar and restaurant, Twelve Twenty has a private upstairs function space, terrace and outdoor seating. These areas host birthdays, celebrations, community events and bespoke gatherings — and you'll play a key role in growing and activating these spaces.
You'll work closely with the wider ESPC team to strengthen the venue's reputation and create reasons for guests to keep coming back, from great daily service to events and seasonal moments that stand out.
What You'll Lead
• Day-to-day venue operations and standards
• A motivated, people-focused bar, floor and kitchen team
• A warm and inclusive guest experience across brunch, lunch, dinner and drinks
• Growth and activation of our private function spaces and terrace
• Stock, budgets, labour control and weekly business performance
• Marketing ideas, events and promotions alongside our internal team
• A positive culture built on kindness, respect and brilliant hospitality
About You
You'll thrive here if you're an experienced hospitality manager who loves vibrant, social venues and leading from the front. You'll be confident running a busy floor, calm under pressure, commercially minded and great with people.

• Proven experience in bar, pub or café-bar management
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Confidence with financials, compliance and operational detail
• A passion for exceptional guest experience
• Creativity, ownership and a proactive approach
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and peak seasons
