We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our administrative team. This role involves managing purchase transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the procurement process. Responsibilities

  • Processing purchase invoices and ensuring timely payments
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
  • Maintaining organised records of all purchase transactions
  • Data entry of invoices, receipts, and related financial documents using Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
  • Managing correspondence with suppliers via phone and email, demonstrating professional phone etiquette
  • Assisting with general administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, and updating databases using Google Workspace
  • Supporting the procurement team in tracking orders and delivery schedules
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and financial procedures

Experience

  • Previous office experience is preferred, particularly within finance or procurement departments
  • Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is advantageous
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent typing speed and data entry accuracy
  • Good telephone etiquette and communication skills
  • Administrative experience involving clerical duties such as filing, record keeping, and document management
