We work closely with councils and housing teams to deliver safe, compliant, and comfortable living arrangements for individuals and families in need. As we expand our portfolio and service coverage, we are seeking a skilled and connected Business Development Manager to help drive new partnerships and revenue growth.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in local authority housing, homelessness services, or temporary accommodation provision. The ideal candidate will already have an established network of contacts within local authority housing teams, housing options departments, or within the temporary accommodation sector.

This is a hybrid role combining remote work with time spent in the office and attending external meetings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and expand relationships with local authority housing teams and decision-makers
  • Leverage existing contacts to generate new business opportunities
  • Promote Alpha Living's accommodation services to councils and other public sector organisations
  • Manage end-to-end sales pipeline from prospecting to contract negotiation
  • Attend meetings, networking events, and industry forums to increase brand visibility
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations
  • Track performance, prepare reports, and contribute to strategic planning

Requirements

  • Essential: Experience working in a local authority housing team or with an accommodation provider
  • Established network of relevant industry contacts
  • Proven track record in business development, account management, or partnership building
  • Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently
  • Full UK driver's licence (preferred but not essential)
