Birmingham City University is a large and diverse place to study right in the heart of the city. The Department of Mental Health and Learning Disability Nursing, currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join our team as a Teaching Fellow.
We are looking to recruit a full-time Teaching Fellow in Mental Health nursing to support a range of teaching and learning activities across all our pre-registration nursing courses. You must be highly motivated and well organised, with excellent communication skills. You will be joining our future-focused, innovative, and creative team. We are motivated by the student experience and by student success and are proud to be educating the nurses of the future.
You must hold active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered Mental Health Nurse. Previous experience of teaching is desirable; however, we are also keen to support people making a move from clinical practice to nurse education.
We are particularly interested in receiving applications from registered mental health nurses with experience of working in child and adolescent mental health services, and registered mental health nurses with experience of working with older people's mental health.

You will be supported to follow your interests, to bring your clinical experience and creativity to the development of inclusive and engaging teaching approaches, and to work collaboratively with students and stakeholders.
